Time passed weirdly on the barge. It moved in an awkward way that was half-faster and half-slower than the real world. After being in it so long, Parker adjusted. She adjusted and she dealt with it and hell, now she even took it in her stride. Time also acted weirdly when you figured in how many different times Parker had lived her years twice. Two times two equaled four and there were times when she wished that she could take it back.
But it led to weird dreams, and she found herself walking through the Barge, wanting something familiar, wanting a cigarette and a scotch and maybe just a sit on the deck.
Something familiar, she didn't expect, and something she hadn't expected, was to hear the voice that called out. "Oh you have got to be kidding me," she announced, keeping the smile out of her voice.
