She looked different. More tired than he remembered. It wasn't a memory, then. A real dream. Interesting. He'd have to remember to call Sydney in the morning and ask him about real dreams. Did they feel like this? Could he actually feel the warmth of her body close to him? What if he touched her?

He reached out a hand and stopped it just inches before he touched her shoulder. While he'd been out in the real world, he could remember the Barge. He could remember Miss Parker and everything here. He remembered, but he could never get Miss Parker to remember, not in any of their phone calls. Hints about traveling, hints about them. She never quite got it.

"Can't always catch you during the deepest part of your sleep cycle, Miss Parker," he said. "Your body's chemistry will begin to switch the sleep cycle to later or earlier in order to keep my calls in check. I have to make sure I mix it up."
